Communisis has made three new executive appointments within its Brand Deployment business to support its global growth strategy and drive superior value for its clients.

The appointments come at a crucial stage in the organisation’s development following a hugely successful period which saw record revenue growth and the acquisition of permanent display specialist VOX earlier this year; a move which broadened the capabilities of the business, unlocking opportunities across EMEA, and providing access to the US market.

Leading the team is Jonas Magnusson who has joined as Managing Director.

Jonas joins from Scandza International, where he led operations across the Nordics. With an impressive career across branded consumer goods industries, Jonas chaired the board at Bisca, and was previously responsible for global marketing innovation at The Absolut Company, part of Pernod Ricard. Jonas has held commercial roles at Procter & Gamble, Oriflame, and Electrolux working across EMEA. Based in Stockholm, Jonas speaks Swedish, English, and German.

Leading the growth strategy for the business, Jonas will be instrumental in shaping the future direction of the organisation as it enters new geographies. With a clear focus on the needs of market leading brands, retailers and consumers, Jonas brings long standing experience in consumer goods markets where innovation and excellence in brand activation are central to realising client ambitions and driving consumer engagement.

Supporting Jonas in the role of Global Client Development Director is Nicolas Ruher. Nicolas joins Communisis from Champion Petfoods where he held an international client remit, with prior commercial and marketing roles with global FMCG businesses Coty, ghd, Procter & Gamble and Coca-Cola.

Nicolas is leading the Communisis global client relationship teams to deliver superior brand experience for our clients and their consumers. Client-centric and passionate about service, Nicolas brings a wealth of experience in driving client relationships and developing key accounts. A native Frenchman, Nicolas now lives in The Netherlands and speaks English, French and Arabic.

Completing the line-up for the Brand Deployment business is Adam Spurdle, who joins as Global Supply Chain Partnership Director. With responsibility for developing long term sustainable and strategic relationships with supply partners across the globe, Adam brings extensive experience working across Europe, Asia and the US.

An expert in supply chain optimisation, Adam has supported many market-leading brands in the marketing activation space including GSK, Lego, Ralph Lauren and Estee Lauder Companies. Based in the UK, Adam was most recently at Tag, where he held the position of Global Head of Categories and Director of Strategic Sourcing – America.

Commenting on the new structure, Jonas said “We have a fantastic team of exceptional, skilled people across many exciting geographies. I am looking forward to leading our aggressive growth strategy with bold innovations that enable our highly motivated and empowered teams to work in an environment where they can grow.

Our priority is to deliver outstanding value for our clients and stand out in-store experience for the consumers of their brands. Working in collaboration with our supply teams, product experts and precision engineers, we will continue to build on our respected reputation in the market and drive excellence in all territories, elevating the shopping experience.”

Phil Hoggarth, CEO of Communisis said “I am delighted to welcome Jonas, Nicolas and Adam to the business.
We have reached a critical moment in our development and to have secured their talents not only demonstrates our ability to attract the very best, but it also reinforces the strength of Communisis as a leading player on the global marketing activation stage.”
